Under the auspices of the Acting President of the University, Dr. Ashraf Abu Karaki, the University of Jordan colleges' five-a-side football championship, which was held by the Deanship of Student Affairs/Department of Sports Activities at the University of Jordan, was concluded. It ended with the College of Sports Sciences winning with a score of (6-4).
The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Ziad Hawamdeh, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Safwan Al-Shayab, and the deans of the faculties of sports sciences and the King Abdullah II College of Information Technology and Rehabilitation Sciences. The final match witnessed great excitement between the two teams from its start until the referee blew the final whistle with a victory, in addition to the large public attendance. By university students, in an enthusiastic atmosphere that reflects the sportsmanship among the participating students and the fans.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Abu Karaki distributed medals to the champion, runner-up, and tournament referees.
Nineteen colleges participated in the tournament, and they were divided into four groups. The first and second in each group qualified for the semi-finals, and the teams from the Colleges of Sports Sciences and King Abdullah II Colleges of Information Technology reached the final.
