The Faculty of Sports Sciences at the University of Jordan, through its Sports Committee, announces the launch of the Futnet Football Tournament, which will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in the Faculty of Sports Sciences gymnasium. This tournament reflects the Faculty's commitment to promoting sports activities among students and providing a competitive environment that showcases their physical and technical skills, in line with the University's vision of supporting excellence and innovation in sports.
* Futnet Tournament Rules:
- Game Format: Doubles (2x2).
- Victory is achieved by winning two out of three sets.
- Number of touches: A maximum of 3 touches per team. A player may not touch the ball twice consecutively.
- Ball bounce: Once on the ground.
- A point is awarded when the opposing team fails to return the ball or commits a fault.
- Touching the net during play is prohibited.
A touch of the ball on the net during a serve or during play is not considered a fault, and play continues.
- The serve must be made from behind the service line and must be executed within 5 seconds of the referee's whistle. - The team that scores a point serves the next game.
- A set is won when the score reaches 11 points with a two-point lead. If the score remains tied, the set is won at 15 points.
- If the sets are tied 1-1, a tiebreaker set is played, which is won at 15 points with no margin requirement.
- Substitutions: Two substitutions per team per set (each team consists of 3 players: two on the court and one substitute).
- Each team is allowed one 30-second timeout per set.

Registration for the tournament is on Thursday, November 12th, and Sunday, December 14th, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM (office hours: Dr. Salem Al-Qara, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Saoud).
The draw will be held on Tuesday, December 16th, at 12:30 PM in Hall 1.
