The activities of the championship of T. Walid Al-Askar, a former faculty member at the Faculty of Sports Sciences at the University of Jordan, concluded this Thursday afternoon, amidst a large attendance.
The final match was held under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Professor Hassan Al-Saud, in the presence of a group of faculty members at the college, Dr. Ziad Ermeli, Dr. Hassan Haris Al-Auran, Dr. Manal Al-Bayat, Dr. Fatima Khreisat, Dr. Zainab Hilmi, Dr. Areen Al-Maghribi, and the family of the deceased Al-Askar, with the presence of a great athlete, Dr. Muhammad Bakir, Captain Ahmed Abu Sheikha, and Captain Ziad Akouba.
The head of the sports committee, Dr. Salem Al-Qarra, gave some touching words about the joy and its history inside and outside the college, and this speech was preceded by the royal anthem and verses from the Wise Mind.
The final match witnessed the victory of the Olympic team over the Al-Tala team 6-5, noting that the championship lasted for three weeks and involved 150 students distributed over 18 teams, and all the championships were held on the fields of the Faculty of Sports Sciences.
The championship includes under the leadership of the college's boxing team, Dr. Al-Qariq Salma and Dr. Mahmoud Al-Saud, and joint coordination with Dr. Harran Al-Rahamna and Dr. Ghazi Al-Kilani. The championship witnessed the wonderful organization of the student Suhaib Al-Manasir, and the championship matches were managed by Dr. Munther Aqilan and the students Hashem Al-Jallad and Alaa Osama. In it, the Dean of the College, Dr. Al-Saud, comes out to honor the family members of the deceased who won the prizes.
