As part of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at the University of Jordan's commitment to enhancing the practical aspects of sports and raising the scientific and professional awareness of its students, the Faculty organized a training course for doping control officers on Saturday, December 13th, in cooperation with the Jordan Anti-Doping Organization. The course saw wide participation from students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine.
The course began with a welcome address by the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Professor Dr. Aida Al-Awamleh, who greeted the lecturers, distinguished guests, and participating students. She emphasized the importance of holding such specialized courses to qualify students and prepare them for the job market, as well as to raise their awareness of issues related to clean sports and anti-doping, given its fundamental role in protecting athletes' health and maintaining the integrity of sports competitions.

Professor Dr. Walid Al-Rahahleh, an international lecturer accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
Professor Dr. Kamal Al-Hadidi, President of the Jordan Anti-Doping Organization.
Several staff members from the Jordan Anti-Doping Organization also participated in presenting the course's topics, including:
Ms. Sineh Hatkay – Head of the Education Department.
Ms. Kifah Taha – Head of the Scientific Department.
Mr. Yazan Munther – Head of the Testing and Investigations Department.
The course was attended by 85 male and female students from the Faculties of Sports Science and Medicine at the University of Jordan. It covered a range of important topics, including:
An introduction to doping and its health and athletic consequences.
An overview of anti-doping activities and the values of clean sport.
The use of nutritional supplements and their associated risks.
Technical definitions and procedures for notifying athletes.
Mechanisms and methods for collecting samples according to approved standards.
This course is part of a series of training activities organized by the Faculty of Sports Science to develop scientifically and practically qualified personnel capable of effectively contributing to supporting clean sport and promoting a sound sports culture at both the local and international levels.
